You’re a baker, nurse, hairstylist, librarian, mediator, janitor, cheerleader, and toy repair technician… all before 10 a.m. This, of course, makes your chief title: rock star. This Mother’s Day weekend celebrate by jamming out at one of these family friendly musical events:

Saturday, May 8th: Stubbs plays host to Ralph’s World – a musical experience led by Ralph Covert: an indie rocker, songwriter, playwright, and children’s book author whose McCartneyesque style has won him hundreds of thousands of three-feet-and-under fans and their parents.
Doors open at 10 a.m. and the show starts at 11 a.m. Tickets can be bought for $15 (or $45 for a family four pack) in advance at: www.stubbsaustin.com

Sunday, May 9th: Big Red Sun is the place to be for the release of Sweet Songs – an album of kids music recorded by local Austin singer-songwriter mommas and produced by Sarah Hickman (100% of the CD’s profits will go towards benefiting the Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin). The event runs from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and will include brunch, live performances of the music, and exciting door prizes. For more details and to buy tickets (adults $10, kids $5) before they sell out go to: www.austinsweetsongs.com
How will you squeeze in these rockin’ shows to your already busy weekend? Don’t forget, you’re also an event planner and logistics specialist.
