What do Czech orphanages, a Bohemian kingdom and your mama’s junk drawer have in common? A modern heroic tale, that’s what.

The book, Jordanka, is a lively and heartwarming story with breathtaking three-dimensional illustrations, enhanced by recycled fabrics and trinkets. But beyond the pages of Jordanka, lies a better-than-fiction story behind the story about the author and illustrator, Jordan Teske. This SMU grad packed up all of her belongings and moved to Prague with the goal of opening a Czech orphanage with the proceeds of the book.
A beautiful adventure to be sure.
Proceeds from the book will go towards helping orphaned, abandoned and institutionalized children living in the Czech Republic.
