We all breezed over the breast-feeding chapter in our prenatal books because honestly, we had other things to worry about (like how the baby was actually going to get out.)
Who knew making enough milk could also put us in a tight squeeze? Enter Milkmakers, a line of lactation cookies developed by nursing mom-slash-baker Emily Kane.
The tasty treats include both oats and brewer’s yeast — shown to stimulate the production and flow of breast milk — and flax seed, which is rich in omega-3’s to increase the quality of and nutrients in your milk. Baked fresh and delivered straight to your door, these power-packed goodies are an easy (and delish) way to get a major boost from as little as one or two cookies a day.

Sunday, April 29th: Your favorite PBS characters will be celebrating KLRU’s 50th Birthday and you’re invited! Cookie Monster, Arthur, SuperWhy, Clifford, Maya & Miguel and others will take over 2ND Street for a day of family fun. From 12 – 4 p.m. on 2nd street, look for a Central Texas Gardener activity, story time with local celebrities, Arts In Context dance demonstrations and much more.
