You like to consider yourself the kind of person who always sees the glass as half-full. Of course, with little hands around any liquid within a five foot radius is likely to be spilled.

Keep messes at bay with the (genius!) Strawlation created by local Austin mom Jamie Wallace. After spending more time cleaning up after her kids then her kids actually spent sipping, Wallace set out to come up with a contraption that works like a regular straw, but doesn’t slip out. The result is a colorful, dishwasher safe, bpa-free straw that actually stays put in juice boxes, sippy cups and even yogurt containers.

Wondering why you didn’t think this up first? Yeah, we were too, and then we remembered that glass half-full thing…
